storchrittersIllyasviel von Einzbern, the current head of the Einzbern family born to Kititsugu Emiya and Irisveil von Einzbern. She was an attempt at having a homunculus be born of a humunuculus and human to try and create an essentially perfect Magus. To that end, essentially from birth the Einzbern family experimented on her in an attempt to strengthen her magical circuits. It seems like it did strengthen them, at the cost of her own life span and growth. She was told her entire life that everything that happened to her is her father’s fault, as he supposedly abandoned her and never tried to save her from the Einzbern family. As a result, she swore she would do the family’s bidding until given the chance to participate in the Grail War and get revenge on him or his adopted son.
She originally had a very vindictive personality, making sure to try to get revenge on both Shirou and Saber as a scapegoat for the suffering she went through especially from the end of the Fourth Grail War. She blamed Saver for her mother’s death especially. Along with the resentment, she almost died much before the start of the Grail War when the family used her own high mana supply to summon Berserker long before the Greater Grail would come to being for the purposes of summoning a Servant. So every step of Berserker’s caused her pain and she felt even more angry for a while. Until, that is, Berserker saved her from dying during a training session. Eventually she mellowed out, in two timelines, helping Shirou and becoming friends. She purposely takes advantage of her lack of growth to try and enjoy childish fun as his “younger sister” even though she is a couple years older.
